Thousand Isles Casino to Remain in Gananoque
Great Canadian Gaming, the brand new owner of Thousand isles casino in Gananoque, assured neighborhood businesspeople that the gambling venue wouldn’t be banished.
Rod Baker, CEO of this gambling operator which recently obtained a controlling interest in the casino, said that the Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation has provided them the exclusive directly to operate it for two decades and a possibility for an extra expansion and that they’ve been here to stay so long as they can.
Mr. Baker, along with five other Great Canadian professionals and two OLG officials, attended a Chamber of Commerce morning meal. They met about 100 business that is local and politicians and informed them about their plans for the casino. Mr. Baker told community that they’re really excited to be part of it.
Local businesspeople commented that there was a ‘massive, collective sigh of relief’ in the area after Great Canadian together with OLG announced that the gambling place would stay static in Gananoque and would not be moved to Kingston.
Gord Brown, a local MP, stated that the casino will probably thrive because of the low gasoline costs in combination with the dollar that is low.
